St Giles was founded in C10th on a pre-Christian site.
The Saxon Crossing was extended with by the C13th Nave and a North Aisle in 1882. Located next door to the village school St Giles is Listed Grade I. The PCC wished to replace the entrance doors. The Oak doors with thin glazing bars replaced the leather faced flush doors of the '1920's.
