South Street

The property is a detached red brick cottage in West Sussex, built in 1911. The proposal is to form a single storey rear infill extension along with a replacement dormer at first floor level, which will be clad in zinc panels under mono-pitched roofs in a red colour finish. The proposed materiality is a subtle modern addition to the property which is intended to remain subservient and not take away from the charming character of the existing property.

The alteration provide an open kitchen dining space with separated utility area at ground floor level, and improve the functionality and thermal efficiency at first floor level. Planning Consent was achieved for the project and RNA have completed the RIBA Work Stage 4 Construction Package ready for the Tender of the Works.
