The Oaks Annex

The Oaks is a C21st property within a large private garden in Surrey with stunning countryside views. The property is designed based around the concept of a farmstead with differing height hipped and half hipped roof pitches, and a collection of buildings for various residential functions.
The proposal was for alterations and additions to the annex building to provide upgraded living accommodation which included; a ramp to allow for disability access, porch roof to allow for covered access, rooflights within roof to allow additional daylight and natural ventilation, adaptation of existing open plan area to allow for walker/ wheelchair manoeuvrability around proposed kitchen, dining and living area, an additional room to store disability equipment and allow for occasional overnight carer within the main area, opening up of existing shower room to create accessible wet room and extension to allow for larger bedroom to allow for access around the bed.
RNA obtained Planning Permission for the alterations and additions, prepared the RIBA Work Stage 4 Construction Package, obtained Tenders for the Works, and acted as Contract Administrator for the Works on site.
