Frylands

Frylands is a Grade II Listed C16/C17th dwelling, located in West Sussex. The form of the original C16th dwelling and its fabric survive in sufficient content to read the building and its development. The proposal is to construct a single storey rear extension off the existing rear elevation in the location of the footprint of the historic two-storey rear wing which was dismantled during the 1950’s.

The additions comprise of a new kitchen dining space which opens up the existing kitchen to the rear garden and affords a space more appropriate in scale of a property of this size. The extension opens out onto the garden terrace and takes advantage of the views over the gardens for the family to enjoy.

Planning and Listed Building Consent was obtained by RNA for the proposal, and the RIBA Work Stage 4 Construction Package was prepared. The project is now on site.
